Ron
Arad was born in Tel Aviv in 1951. He studied first at the Jerusalem
Academy of Art and from 1974 until 1979 at the Architectural Association
- School of Architecture in London. In 1981 he founded OneOff Ltd, a
company that produced his first successful furniture designs and interior
structures based on found objects, designed components, tubes and clamps.
In 1989 he started Ron Arad Associates Ltd, a design enterprise which
was commissioned with the design of the public spaces in the Tel Aviv
Opera House. Both his companies are now located in Camden Town, near
London.
