Born and raised on the border of Sweden and Denmark, Martin Vallin got the best of two great design worlds, the traditional Danish design and the rational Swedish approach. Still living in Malmo, he takes the bridge to Denmark every day. He just graduated from the Danish Design School in Copenhagen with a Master in Furniture & Spacial Design. He have been picked as a representative of the school to exhibit at the Stockholm Furniture Fair the last three years, but his main occasion was when Giulio Cappellini ask him to join Cappellini in Milan 2010. Martin Vallin is a young man constantly evolving and learning new things, keeping an open mind and trying to twist and combine ideas in a childlike way to get new and interesting results: everything can be an inspiration to give projects an extra spark, to give them “life”.
